James Mihaychuk wins GPO nomination in Ottawa South.

At the 27 June 2011 meeting of the Ottawa South constituency association of the Green Party of Ontario, Mr. James Mihaychuk, Ph.D., was confirmed as the nominated candidate for the Ontario general election expected to occur on October 6, 2011.  The other contender, former mayoral candidate Charlie Taylor, withdrew his bid for the nomination to lend his support to Mihaychuk.

This was a great event on a very pleasant few hours of canvassing in the Glebe.

Lessons learned: James needs to watch out for wasps! Also, we can try varying the time of day to be sure that we catch more people at home, which is difficult on beautiful summer days.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who attended and made this event so successful and rewarding!  It was great to get together with Greens from all around Ottawa.
