My strongest congratulations to you for your principled defence of the candidacy of Dr. Qais Ghanem If the Green Party of Canada is ever to have a presence in Parliament it will be because of people like Mr. Ghanem, who not only has a high and distinguished profile in his riding, but is a principled humanitarian.
 
For this reason, pro-Israel pressure groups are reduced to hurling cowardly, hatemongering slurs against him—and others—because of their principles. Clearly, we no longer have a free press in this country when character assassination passes for informed commentary. For standing fast against the impotent bluster of Qais Ghanem’s denigrators you have earned the respect of all Canadians.
