He was the one who had initiated the dialogue between Arab & Jewish Canadians. He started this initiative even during the darkest days of violence in the Middle East, when both part were extremely passionate about the issue. He started Pot-Luck for Peace by inviting activists from both communities to his house. He had never used any racial or religious reference during discussing the Arab-Israeli conflict even among his closest friends who share his sentiment of criticizing the brutal Israeli occupation and I know this for fact as I consider my self among those friends. Furthermore, how can he be an anti-Semite? He is from Yemen. Most historians believe that Sam was born, lived, married & had most of his offspring; the future Semites ….in Yemen.
