As a Jewish-Canadian, I am writing not only to stand up and unequivocally express my upport for Dr. Ghanem but also to express my outrage at such a tactic being used against him. In the several years I have known Dr. Ghanem, he has shown himself to be one of the most tolerant, compassionate and inclusive people I have ever met.
 
His tolerance knows no bounds and far exceeds mine, especially when it comes to the Middle East. His desire to understand all points of view is also one of the reasons that led him to found Potlucks for Peace - an Ottawa-based dialogue group comprised of Jewish and Arab Canadians so they could have a forum to share their feelings with the other side in a safe and supportive space.
